how we serve_
We serve the local church in three primary ways. We call these the three pillars of service. All three are critical to seeing the local church strengthened and our mission in the Middle East accomplished.
Scripture Engagement
God's Word is at the heart of everything we do. Without God's Word penetrating the hearts and minds of people, true change will never take place. God's word does not go out and come back void, according to His purpose, and it is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness (2 Tim. 3:16). Therefore we are convinced it is necessary to make sure that people not only have it in their hands but that they can actually engage with it. We are actively seeking ways to help the Christians in Egypt access God's word in a relevant way.
| Training Leaders
Where there is no vision the people will parish. The Middle East is in dyer need of informed godly leadership. You can see every evening on the news that corrupt leadership is epidemic throughout the Middle East. In addition step into any church in Egypt on any given week and you will quickly realize the vast difference between the number of women and the number of men present. There are few leaders to be found. We must be involved in raising up leaders to stand up against the onslaught against the church and cast vision for a new future with hope and purpose under the leadership of Christ.
| Discipleship Material
While the west is flooded with vast Christian bookstores and websites filled with all kinds of Christian material available at our finger tips, the Arab speaking world is anemic and dieing without the necessary tools to combat the problems they face each day. There is great material already available in English but most Arabs cant access it because of the language barrier. We are regularly translating materials for use among Arab speakers. In addition we are encouraging the local christian community to develop their own material and express it in their own context for local Christians to access.
